Steam Cleaning - A Great Way to Bring Life to Your Furniture

Do you have dining chairs, a lounge or an office chair that has had something spilt on it?

Maybe your fabric just has a build up of grime that has left your furniture a bit off colour and a little unpleasant to the eye.

Well, did you know that most of these stains can be removed by steam cleaning ? Bringing life back to your furniture that over time has probably slipped away slowly, without you really noticing the difference.

It's amazing the difference we get to see at The Chair Hospital after we steam clean customers furniture. It's really quite suprising how much dirt and grime comes out in the waste water after steam cleaning even a piece of furniture that doesn't even appear that dirty. I guess when you think about all the sweat, body oils, dirt and food over a period of years that builds up it's really not that big of a suprise. I'm sure you wouldn't think about wearing the same clothes without washing them for that long (I sincerely hope not anyway).

If you would like to get some of your furniture looking, smelling and feeling nice and clean again don't hesitate to contact us now at The Chair Hospital Sydney 0295223621.

Ergonomics - Making Your Work Cubicle More Comfortable

Here's an article I found by Matthew Hick, discussing the benefits of a comfortable work environment. Including opinions on quality office chairs, computer equipment, lighting etc.

Just because you're stuck in a work cubicle eight or more hours a day doesn't mean you have to be uncomfortable, or risk a work-related injury. There are a lot of ways to make your workspace more ergonomic to avoid unnecessary injury.Three of the main things to keep in mind when trying to create a more comfortable work station are:Your Chair. This is the most important component of your office. To relieve (or even prevent) back strain and pain, be sure to use a chair that features good lower-back support and a lot of adjustability. Stability balls are also a great choice for people by providing a more "active" chair that requires you to keep making minute adjustments to keep your balance.Your Lighting. Eyestrain can lead to stress in the workplace. Be sure that your work area is well lit and that your computer screen is free of glare. Install a separate cubicle light if necessary.Your Posture. The way you sit can have a direct effect on the way you feel physically by the end of the day. Always strive to sit upright with your elbows and knees bent at 90 degrees. Keep your feet flat on the floor. If they are bent at more than 90 degrees, you may have to raise your desk height. And, if it is already too high consider using a footrest to maintain the correct posture.Even if you aren't worried about workplace injury, you can make your days more comfortable by installing a few simple ergonomic designs into yr office or cubicle. Try these for a less stressful day:A Good Computer Monitor.Nothing is more annoying than working on a flickering or glaring computer screen all day. Reduce eyestrain and fatigue by installing a larger (at least 17 inches) monitor that features a flicker-less screen glare filter. While you're at it, why not consider installing a good quality copy holder to help you better see your reference materials while working at the computer, and maintain good posture while typing?Keyboards.Using a ergonomic keyboard is essential to eliminate back and neck pain, not t mention wrist and joint problems in your hands, wrists and fingers.Telephone Stand.Using a simple phone stand not only clears your desk, but also places your phone in an accessible position. This type of stand usually features a collapsible arm that can be pulled closer and a pan tilt that allows you to grab the handset and view the keypad without craning your neck.

Do I need Timber Chair Repairs?

After long periods of time and sometimes short ones, depending on the quality of products, the glue that holds your timber chairs together will lose its grip and your chairs will feel loose and susceptible to dangerous, and also sometimes embarrassing collapses. By checking your timber chairs to see if they are beginning to come loose, you can circumvent them collapsing and most probably from breaking. If you have discovered that your dining or timber chairs need re gluing it’s as easy as calling us at The Chair Hospital 0295223621 and we will professionally re glue your timber chairs so they are as good as new. It’s great way to make your chairs last as long you would like them to. Extra options you could consider are steam cleaning your chairs' fabric (a great way to bring your fabric back to life and remove stubborn stains), re upholstery (when the stains are too bad, your fabric is torn, or you like your chairs design, comfort or sentimentality, and you’d like a fresh look), or having your chairs painted or polished (the surface of your chairs are faded, scratched, or you would like a new look). If you’d like to learn more and you are in Sydney you can contact us on 0295223621 or email chairhospital@yahoo.com.au

The Chair Hospital - New Chairs and Office Chair Repairs Sydney

The Chair Hospital - New Chairs and Office Chair Repairs Sydney: "Are you trying to figure out what chair to buy? or are you thinking... Should I even bother repairing my chair? Well depending on your situation and circumstances, these questions can have entirely different answers. Choosing an Office Chair. Firstly when buying a new office chair, if you can afford it, I would recommend spending a little more to get a quality office chair, and maybe getting some advice from a proffessional eg. one of our staff at The Chair Hospital. There are a few reasons which may be fairly obvious when I suggest buying a quality new office chair. Here are some: # A quality office chair will be designed to be ergonomic, and if you spend long periods of time (sometimes 8+ hrs a day) sitting in it, it is important to have a well supported, comfortable, posture fitting office chair. # Quality will last. There are plenty of office chairs selling at major retailers (that are not office chair specialists) that are made in China with the poorest possible quality materials. New Office Chairs that may cost you around $100, but are made to last less than a year, and aren't comfortable in the first place. Would you prefer to buy a cheap office chair once a year, or a quality one that will last a long time, look good and be comfortable? For me, and I'm sure for you, that question is a no brainer. # This may sound funny, but a comfortable, quality office chair can affect your mood, productivity, personal interactions, your sleep at night, and if you think about it, many more things."
